NEW YORK — For the first time in decades, the NHL will not allow fans to purchase new jerseys from the start of each season, according to the league’s official website.
A number of major NHL teams have announced that they will sell out their home games in advance of the start and the final exhibition games of the season.
This is expected to be the first season in which all home and away jerseys will be sold at the same time, which is how the NHL has historically handled jersey sales.
However, fans will be able to buy jerseys in the form of “sport” and “shop” items.
A sport jersey has a logo on the front and a “S” in the middle, while a shop jersey has no logo and a circle on the back of the jersey.
The NHL has been selling out home and road games, but not all of its home games have been sold out.
Fans who want to purchase a new jersey can do so in person at their local team store or online through the NHL Shop website, but teams will not sell the jerseys at the game.
“We understand fans have been waiting to get their hands on their favorite team’s new home and home away jerseys,” said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
“We have taken the opportunity to address some of the issues with the new uniform season by allowing fans to shop for their own team’s home and team away jerseys, but the jerseys will only be sold through our online shop.
This will ensure that fans have access to the team’s jerseys in time for the season.”
New jerseys will not be available to buy until Feb. 11, 2020, when all regular season games will be played.
Fans can also purchase jerseys online, which will be available from Jan. 3, 2021, through the beginning of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The league’s new uniform rules will remain in place for all future seasons, which means teams will be allowed to continue to wear their home jerseys in public at their home rink, which includes practice facilities.
This includes players and coaches, as well as the media, and players and their families.
This year’s uniform season is set to feature the new “Mighty Mouse” design, which debuted during the 2016-17 season.
It’s a design that was introduced during the first year of the new rulebook and will be worn throughout the first two seasons of the current calendar year.
Fans are encouraged to dress in style and wear their “Mightiest” and most expensive jerseys as soon as they can, while other fans are encouraged not to go into the store to shop until they can get home.
