A man was killed and a woman was injured when a train crashed near the Mexican city of Mexico City, officials said Tuesday.
Authorities identified the victim as Sergio M. Castillo, 52, a father of two.
He was on a train from Mexico City to Puebla when it derailed, injuring the woman and his wife.
Castillo, a Mexican citizen, was killed, Mexico’s Interior Ministry said.
The woman was seriously injured and taken to hospital, officials in Pueblo said.
Puebla is located in northern Mexico, just south of the border with Guatemala.
The accident happened in the town of Iguala, which has seen several high-profile violence attacks in recent years.
The attack in Puducherry on Tuesday was not related to the train, the ministry said.
