But a new, high-stakes game has emerged to fill that void: The wildly popular and award-winning TV show “Teddy Bear,” from creator Jim Henson and writer John Lasseter, starring Will Arnett as a boy who loves to draw cartoons.
It’s a story of a young boy and his best friend, who are both talented and talented in other ways, and the way that those talents combine to become something much bigger than themselves.
Their friendship blossoms as the show’s popularity increases and the creators find a new audience for their work.
Now, with a DVD release on May 1, the show will be available to watch on the new consoles, including Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The series has been a runaway hit and has won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, an Emmy and two Peabody Awards for Best Animated Comedy and a Golden Globe for Outloud Performance.
It’s the only show on television to have been nominated for a Peabodys, a distinction that has given the show the moniker “The Greatest Show on Earth.”
The show is also the subject of a book, The Adventures of Teddy Bear: The Making of a Classic, by writer and illustrator David Simon, and will be released in September by Simon’s company Simon & Schuster.
Fans can watch the series on demand on Hulu and other platforms.
